condensor and distributor terminal connection

Because of problems I was having with a miss using an electronic ignition which will require some work, I would like to put a points distributor in the car to see if I can get it timed and eliminate a miss which is clearly in the distributor. Not having a great deal of knowledge about the point system, I was wondering about the connections within the 25DE4 from the condensor and the distributor terminal (that goes to the coil). Aren't they to be insulated from each other on the points post? If so, can anyone tell me how to do that? Is one put under the nylon bushing and the other on top (one will be resting on the points arm, right?). Or should they both be connected together on top of the points? Kind of basic but something just doesn't seem right if they are tied together without insulation between them.
Thanks

HI Aroostok,Both of the leads should be connected together, insulated from ground at the post by the plastic washers included in the kit.---Keoke
