Can anyone give me their two cents on Concours preparation?

Asking this here is like wandering into an AA meeting and announcing that drinks are free for the next 15 minutes.

As others have noted, if you are considering submitting your Healey for concours judging, the very first thing you should do is buy a copy of the Concours Guidelines, as compiled by the Concours Committee. See Concours Guidelines Purchase.

The Guidelines will answer most of your questions, and the Concours Committee members can provide definitive answers to the rest. Good luck.

My 2 cents - stay away from those shows. To me a car show is for the spectators. I hate it when cars have all their windows up - tops up. Hardly the way to "show" a car. Also judges are human and subject to a bit of well - subjectivity. One show I was in, the head of the Jaguar judges gave his Jaguar first place on his rather questionable car.

OH! that just be those Jaguar people they kinda Haintchy everone else is just great and you will have a good time and see the cars in all states of show..--Keoke
