my subscription for mcafee anti virus protection ran out yesterday, ive been putting off renewal and wondering what if any program is best, thanks in advance, anthony.

For over five years I've been pleased with Avast, AVG, and Malwarebytes, which I use on our office WinXP desktops.

I've used MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes on my home WinXP desktop for about a year. No problems there either.

AVG Free. MalwareBytes. Tom gave ya the good stuff, Ant'ny.

Doc got me to run AVG, free and I like it.

Here at the store I have two computer Geeks, they have been bringing in their castoffs to use as a PC on my desk. The cast off mix and matches are better than whats on my desk at home. They just took away all of that and replaced it with a notebook, alot more speed and storage, that was going to be thrown out anyway???? I'm not used to this line of thinking, something so well made, and obsolete in two years or less.

Moore's Law, Mr. Bond.
