I've tried to install Adobe Flash player in my desk top and I keep getting a failed install report. I have Vista in it with a ton of memory and two hard drives with extra space. Any clues from you computer whizzes?

Are there any other details with the "failed install report"?

Did you install the correct version? They have different versions for different operating systems (Vista, Mac, Linux, etc.) as well as different versions for whatever browser that you use. They make one for IE and a different one for Firefox and Safari.

and you have to shutdown everything else except for the installer.

Ok, here we go,
I downloaded the flash player plugin setup.
I initiated the install program.
While running, the program says, Copy toC:\Program files\Opera\program\plugins\
Then it says, Copy Failed.
Then it says, Created uninstaller:C\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\uninstall-plugin.

Why is it saying Opera? It was down loaded as a Windows Vista install.
I had this problem once before on another machine with ME, but don't remember the fix. Probably wouldn't work on Vista anyway. PJ

What browser do you use?

Opera is another browser like Internet Explorer and Firefox. If might be set up as your default browser.

Shane, I don't even have Opera loaded in my machine. I have IE naturally and Firefox along with Flock, and Google Chrome, all the latest editions. I'll look for another download site. Who knows, might work.
