Whe I had my Austin Healey the Complete Original book was kind of the bible for restoration matters, plus car geek that I am I loved reading the book and looking at the pics, now that I have the TR250 I want the Triumph TR book by Piggot.

Apparently they didn't make enough or bound them in gold or something, I am finding used copies for $90 and up.

Any good reasonably priced or at least not out of this world priced sources.
 
Same problem with the TR3 series. When I got my TR3 4 years ago, I saw the book and, having one for the MGA, knew it to be a great reference and tried to find one. At that time they were $50 which I thought way overpriced, but now on amazon they're going for twice that. I e-mailed the publisher and told them to print another run, as they'd sell out and make a quick profit, but was told they are not planning any reprints. Best advice is to go to car shows, visit the book/publication vendors and try to get lucky.
 
Or, if copyright has run out, why not someone scan to disk as a pdf, should be ok if its not for sale or commercial use?
Obtained similar from europe that way, still owe the sender a couple of steins of beer!
 
I'm sure copyright on this item has not run out - the author Bill Piggot is still alive and quite kicking over in the UK. Not sure why he doesn't run off another batch, even the TR Register over there doesn't carry it right now.

Looks like Moss has a softcover version listed for $25, would rather have the hardback, but if in stock that would seem to be the rational alternative.

Eek--Moss lists it in their catalog, but when I tried to order it it lists no such number, nor is it listed in their online listings, drat, I remember seeing these at Barnes and Noble years ago when they were first released, should have picked one up.
 
Thanks Randall, I actually spent about two hours "with my head stuck in the computer" as my wife likes to say and found a used one on Amazon Canada for $12.50 canadian.

The lowest price I saw elsewhere was $75 used, and most were over $100, some over $300! So what you pointed out was a good deal, maybe someone else can take advantage.

I think I was lucky enough to find someone who was selling it as a used book at about half retail (it is the softback version) but I suppose I shouldn't count my chickens until they come in, haven't got it yet.
 
Canada has it' own Amazon?
