Hopefully I haven't gotten myself in over my head here.

My strategy is to start in the middle and work my way out with the floor and sills. I've never done this before so I thought that if I took smaller pieces of it out at a time it would prevent me from cutting out pieces that I need. I'm not familiar with where all the panels join to other panels so I hoped they would become a bit easier to visualize when it was just the edges I was looking at.

I didn't realize that there were some braces under the mounting points in the floor pan. I don't know if I can salvage those but they seem to be readily available if need be.

I'm also new to the plasma cutter but it seems to work pretty well. The cuts are fairly rough but it makes quick work of it doing it the way I'm doing it.

Thanks for looking

Yep...you are committed now!

The plasma is fast, but remember to slow down at the seems you need to retain to attach the new metal to. I'm afraid drilling and chiseling the spot welds is the only way to free the actual seems. Look forward to following!

The seams are why I was doing it the way I am.
Some of the seams are a bit hard to pick out. That's why I wanted to cut down the material to where I can more easily understand the way the panels fit together.
Once I get the bulk of the panels removed that need to go I will be able to be a bit more surgical in removing what is left in prep for the new panels.
