RE Security....
I've always been of the mindset that if someone REALLY wants to steal it they are going to steal it and there is nothing you can do about it.
So I always hedged my bets on stopping someone who does a quick hop-in, hotwire, drive-off.
My TR3 was a daily driver back when I was young and invincible. Parked it in a mall parking lot every day for a couple of years.
Every day I pulled the rotor and put it in my pocket. I figured if they couldn't start it then maybe they'd move on to a more likely prospect. A hidden toggle switch in-line with the dizzy wire would serve the same purpose. Someone with a flatbed isn't going to be stopped whether you have a club or an alarm.
One friendly smart-alec buddy left me a note one day "Hey Jim, don't you think you are a little trusting leaving the key in the ignition ???".... ooops. Of course this never stopped people from pushing it around the parking lot every once in a while just to mess with my head.
