Comeback at Alfa Owner

Need a little help with some ideas for a snappy comeback at an Alfisti (Alfa Romeo enthusiast). I was recently at a Brit car meet, selling AH parts, including a couple of engine blocks. Saw my Alfa-owning friend and jokingly asked him if he'd like to buy a spare Healey (Austin) engine. He shot back, "No thanks, I sold my boat!" (Meaning that he didn't need an anchor, you see.)

This one caught me completely off guard. (OK, it's not that hard to do.) Anyway, if you can think of any snappy comebacks for that situation, please share them.

I can't let him have the last word when it's a slam on Healeys!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif

Well, Donald used to make boats...

Oh? You sold the Alfa?

hers one,'do you take the pizza delivery sign off the roof during the day?--{ah i can say that because im italian and once owned a 1965 julietta sprite} heres another one 'how many of your clown friends can you actually fit in there?another-'hay i have the same motor in my wood chipper'heres a bad one-"at least youll never have to lube anything on it!

"Did you sell the anchor with it or are you still driving the Alfa?"

I have owned several alfas, now I am now driving a 1972 model. Most Alfa owers are aware of that they rust a lot due to bad quality steel. (Recyceled russian tanks ?)
I have one of my old Alfa Romeos in glass, on the shelf above my fireplace. The remains of it looks like instant coffee. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Better load up with several responses then, for your witty repartee is likely to be met by more of the same.... jibes about agricultural machinery, Lucas electrics, oil leaks, reliability, then they may try to be insulting too.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
