I'm in the process of detailing under the bonnet of a BJ8 and I'm having doubts as to painting the fan shroud red as there was no red found on the radiator when I removed the black paint. I've also seen a photos on line of radiators with both red and black fan shrouds. Can anyone tell me which is correct please.

Thx

Red, with the brush strokes showing, as that was how it was done at the factory

What he said....

A friend has a late BJ8 that he bought new. It was the last one the dealer sold. He swears up and down that the shroud never had any red paint on it. I didnt see the car before he restored it so I'm not a witness.

Also forgot to not add the non stock fan & valve cover, plus the chromed and polished parts...in case you missed that too

Here's your brush strokes.....

I think I posted this before, but think of the brush strokes on a Healey: the radiator guard, the black area under the rear shroud, and the interior parts around the door openings, etc. Think it was the same guy or three different guys? Anyone think of any different hand painted areas?

I've seen a few other areas....
