Hey all, trying for the ppg formula for GN37 which is the almond green. Anyone have this info? Can't seem to find it.

Never heard of Almond Green on an MGB - at least not from the factory

Almond green is/was a Mini colour in the 60s. I have one that colour. Try the Mini forum. I believe Nial's is almond as well.

actually this color was used on the mg midgets and morris minors among others, in the 50's and 60's. GN37 is the original BMC color code for this color. I just can't seem to find the translation to the PPG mfg.
thanks for the help!
Keith

Almond Green was originally used on only 12 UK-market Midgets in 1962.....though none of my OE MG paint chips show it.

Keith, Look up Ditzler color codes, as PPg and Ditzler are now one in the same. Might help.

My Mini is Almond Green and I happen to have used PPG's DCC Concept paint. However, the green I ended up with is much "greener" than the original paint which was more olive drab in color.

BCliff has been running a short thread in the Mini forum searching for a good Almond Green paint formula.

BTW, does Nial own a Mini? I know his buddy vintage races a green one but it's even greener than my car.

I looked up my paint in case you have your heart set on PPG and Almond Green.

The PPG code for GN-37 in DCC paint is: 47705
The Ditzler code for GN-37 is: 43058

Before you commit to buying a lot of either you may want to see if they'll make a pint to each code and compare to see which you like better. Again, Almond Green should have a bit more olive color to it than my car does.
