Collectors racer insurance

Does anyone know of or have collectors insurance that allows for modified vintage race cars. Heacock does it but only over 30. Im only 28.....
 
Haggerty, and other as well, most offer coverage for storage in a garage, transportation to and from the track or anywhere on a trailer, and paddock coverage, the miunte it hits the track coverage stops, the minute you return to the paddock it is reinstated, it's pretty cheap actually for $60K of coverage it was only about 300-350 a year whan I checked a few years ago. I think you can get on-track coverage thru Lyolds of London, but you mostly talking about guys who race priceless cars and pay way big premiums for such coverage.
 
Yep, you're a wee bit of oddity, no offense intended, that you plan on driving your car on the track and street, so you could always just get normal classic car insurance, Like Hagerty or other offer, and just keep in mind they will not cover you on track. Haggerty on my 67 B Gt for $12,000 repalcment cost is maybe $125 a year, there a few limitations but most you would fit into anyway, 2500 miles a year max, kept in garage, no minors driving the car.
 
I wonder if he is driving to the track with street-legal tires, etc. and then racing them. In order for "normal" insurance to be valid a car must be equipped with legal street equipment which would most certainly apply to tires, etc.

Have to retain DOT tires so I run Toyo Ra-1's at full depth, plan to p/u some superlite wheels from Hap and shaved tires later on. Mainly it makes my life a bit easier working the kinks out since the closest track is 3 1/2 hrs away. Wouldnt dare drive it there, but its nice to leave the pickup in the driveway and take it to the hardware store on a sunny day for sure. Many ins companies will insure any modified vehicles that are not intended for racing... Heacock was the only one that said they'd cover it except while on the track, which is exatly what I was trying to do. I love how ignorant some of these companies are. "yea I got 1000 hp in a fully tubbed tube chassis Chevelle.. but I dont race it?!?" I figured If I sent the pics in it would be a give away.
 
Call Haggerty, I'm sure they will do it. They are a good company, they support our hobby, and they are members of the BMTA (British Motor Trade Association) I've met the big wigs at Haggerty, they are car nuts just like us, good people.
