Does anybody make coil over shocks for TVR's?
If not, how about adjustable shocks and performance springs?
Where can they be bought?
Thanks,
Jim

The original shocks are coil over. I think the OEM shocks on the 2500M were made by Armstrong. I doubt they are still available. Koni also made shocks for the M series. They may still be available. Spax may be another source.

Sorry, I was talking about coil over shocks with adjustable spring perches.

Just for you info, the Konis are a really poor choice for 2500 ms. They are too short with the springs mounted at full extension, and have too short a stroke. The end result is bent and broken control arms. KONI usually hits home runs, but they really missed on TVRs.

That's good to know, since I am in general a big fan of Koni's, and have them on 3 of my cars. So what's a better choice, Spax?

Can't speak for M's but I put a set of Gaz on my wedge and wow! Totally adjustable for ride height and damping while on the car. It was easy to dial them in. Also, no dealer in the US (XK's sells them for Jags only), so I had to order them direct from the factory. A little bit of hassle but they were half of retail as they sold them to me at dealer cost!

Thanks Ross! I had never heard of Gaz before but looked on their website and inquired about the coil over setup. They quoted me ÂŁ300 + ÂŁ90 shipping. What currency is that, Euro, UK pounds, or? Did yours come with the springs, or just the shocks?

That is in pounds sterling (UK Pounds). Figure about $600+$180 shipping according to their quote. Though that is some spendy shipping.

Yeah, the price of the coil overs doesn't seem bad if they are good, but the shipping looks a little high for what I would expect. I'll ask why and see what they say.
thanks for the information.

My Bro is using GAZ on the Vixen.

He really like em.
I was the one that got them but, I can't remember where.
(Yes they have a US dist.)

I use QA1 (formerly Carrera)
