Coffee break - clearing the cobwebs

I work out of the house, which has its good points and its bad points. I'm fortunate to live on a beautiful stretch of water, so when my creativity starts to fade (which is often) I can jump into the boat or canoe and mess around for a few minutes.

I did this today & was surprised to find that my neighbor - one dock down stream - had a visitor. How much space does a Cessna need to take off? We don't have all that much here unless they can squeeze it under a bridge.

Heron or Egret, most likely a Heron of some sort.

180 or 185. Hard to see but it looks to have the dorsal fin which would make it a 185, but it has a two bladed prop which would make me think 180.

I have a grad who lives on an island in Maine that has a 180 on wheels. He wrecked one on the island and bought another one. They make nice seaplanes; another grad gave seaplane lessons in a 180 on amphibious floats. Hmmm... He wrecked that one doing a water take-off. Maybe I should shut up.
