I work out of the house, which has its good points and its bad points. I'm fortunate to live on a beautiful stretch of water, so when my creativity starts to fade (which is often) I can jump into the boat or canoe and mess around for a few minutes.

I did this today & was surprised to find that my neighbor - one dock down stream - had a visitor. How much space does a Cessna need to take off? We don't have all that much here unless they can squeeze it under a bridge.

Heron, I think. Bald eagles are common here also.

Go out and ferret out that old marina. Find my pal and introduce yerself, ferheaven's sake. He's got too many Porsche cars but we can't hold that again' 'im. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Good!

180 or 185. Hard to see but it looks to have the dorsal fin which would make it a 185, but it has a two bladed prop which would make me think 180.

I have a grad who lives on an island in Maine that has a 180 on wheels. He wrecked one on the island and bought another one. They make nice seaplanes; another grad gave seaplane lessons in a 180 on amphibious floats. Hmmm... He wrecked that one doing a water take-off. Maybe I should shut up.

750-800 feet?
