TR4/4A Clutch Thickness

Just posted on New Member Forum but I do have what I thought was a simple question. I have searched and looked in the service manual and do not find what thickness a new clutch friction plate should be. I am getting a reading of around .30in total on my existing clutch. I thought comparing to new would give me an idea of how much wear was on it. Is this the right approach?

Welcome to the forum! I don’t know the new thickness, but if the disc is in good shape and not down to the rivets it should be ok. It’s pretty much standard practice to replace the entire clutch assembly if the disc is worn. You also have a great resource in Sale Creek...Will at Rivergate Restorations.
