Clutch slave cyl.

Just replaced a very leaky slave cyl on my BJ8 (challenging job!) and now there is no fluid getting to\through for proper bleeding? Is it necessary to prime these things first? Master cyl. was just rebuilt and working fine. Clutch hose was replaced 2001 and had no issues.

Maybe the master CLYN?.
 
Update: Evidently I set up with the pin and pushrod in place when dry and it didn't allow the fluid in, once I removed the pushrod the fluid came pouring in, out, and over the floor! All works now. Yes, needs primed. Thanks........

. I do know there is some question if master needs to be bench primed, for some yes, others no. but at least my slave did not need bench priming
 
I have never primed mine and I have had them in and out on a regular basis in the past for various reasons. Included a new one.
