My clutch pedal does not line up with my break and gas pedal. The break pedal has an adjustment rod, but I do not see any for the clutch pedal. My clutch pedal is back about 1 inch. I would like to adjust it forward, so that it is in line with the brake and gas. How do I do this?
 
Hi, to make the clutch pedal adjustable requires replacing it's push rod with an adjustable one from a brake Clyn.---FWIW---Keoke
 
Fluid is fine, no air, not sure if the master cylinder is original. I just got the car. Clutch travel is completly to the rug. Should it be? I would like to have shorter tavel if that is possible. How do I replace the clutch push rod? What need to be disasembled? Where would I purchase this brake cylinder rod? I'd rather not do a makeshift fix if possible. So the answer is, my set-up is correct, no adjustment? The problem is as tahoe healey suggests?
 
Hello TH, the height that the pedals reside at above the foot well floor is controlled by the length of the push rods and the strength of the pedal return springs.Return springs are rarely at fault.---Keoke----GOT Snow??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
 
Keoke, yes, three Healeys high (10 feet) but we can push it and it stays. I understand you got more than your share of rain. I use to live the Woodland Hill for 23 years and I never saw anything like you just got.
How would a shorter rod get installed (wrong type replacement?)? I am un-aware of assorted size rods being available. I would question if it is an original master cyl.or correct for a BJ8. I've always rebuilt or had my parts rebuilt to avoid non-conforming parts. I have a 64 BJ8 (phase one) and I can check the part number if that will help.

TH to the best of my recollection the clutch clyn push rod was always shorter than the brake's .Might be an aftermarket part thing I do not know, but I have the adjustables in both my cars.Here in the hills there were small slides in just about every block.People with cliffhangers went to friends places or hotels voluntarily.However, there was no major damage to property.
