Spitfire Clutch issue

number6

Offline
Just replaced the clutch, pressure plate and bearing. All went well on the way home till I was no longer able to push the clutch pedal down. It wont budge at all. I was careful on the assembly, so I am reasonably sure everything went back together correctly. I almost feel that the master cylinder is at fault. Ideas and thoughts?

First I'd look at the link from the pedal into the MC to see if it jumped out of the piston.

... and/or that the clevis pin is still in place between the pushrod and brake pedal.

Well, I guess I am going to have a big red L tattooed on my forehead for LOSER. I forgot to tighten the pinch bolt on the slave cylinder housing and the slave pushed out, hence no clutch and no pedal.
Certainly feel foolish and will make another entry in the book of stupid mistakes.

The good news is that you found the problem and that it was nothing major! Thanks for posting what you found.

I've done that one. Twice!! So don't feel bad, at least you found it.
