Clutch Fork removal/rebush

Can anyone explain the proper steps to take in order to remove the clutch fork (in the bell housing)? Starting with removal of the tapered pin and then the removal of the shaft? I have been previously told to use a slide hammer too remove the shaft which makes sense but first the pin needs to be removed and so far it doesn't want to move. Are there any secrets involving reinstalling the bushes?

TIA

This forum is amazing. Thank you Randy for the detailed pictures. I just spent a fair amount of time last night beating on that pin before coming in to search this forum.
