Clutch Fork Pin

And another question. I have a broken clutch fok pin, I need to remove. I'm using a TR4A Flywheel and Clutch, with a TR4A Gearbox. I want to replace the TR4A shaft with a TR4 shaft so that I can grease the bushings. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

If the pin has broken & the fork is stuck on the shaft then you have to spin the fork so you can drill a hole at the top of the pin where it would end in the fork. Once you have positioned the fork , drill a 3/16" hole to line up with the pin. You can now use a drift punch to push out the broken piece.
While your at it drill a second hole in the face , you'll see a casting disc in the center of the fork base where the shaft passes through. This is the perfect spot to reinforce the assembly. Make sure the hole drilled is very snug to the screw size. The point here is to not allow any rotational movement. Tap a grade 8 bolt in through the hole & use a nylock nut. Between the two bolts this will never fail again.
Another trick is to add a second set of shaft bushings to the bell housing. There is room to hold two bushings wide. You can just tap the new ones in against the old.

Hi, I did my shaft and bearing holder on my TR-6. I drilled 2 holes on either side and installed roll pins. They work excellent, strong and they provide tension around their diameter.

Yup, this is also a popular way to solve an annoying failure. I think this is the method used in the attatchment.
I have seen some owners weld the fork to the shaft. It does solve the problem but later service to the shaft, bushings or fork pins requires cutting the shaft to remove.
