Everyone had some great ideas on wiring,sooo..now that my brake master is out, What do I do to make it like new? Do I want to fool with shotblasting?chrome plating? Thanks,BR
 
It depends on how far gone the cylinder is. At the very least a rebuild kit, with new gaskets and whatnot. I seem to recall that the master cyls on later Bs are plastic (ours are, as were those on my '76 Midget), so I don't know how long they'd last in the shotblasting cabinet or the chroming tanks.

I should have been more clear, both the brake and clutch master are fairly new, hence clean. I guess I'm really talking about the surrounding box and hardware.Thanks, BR
 
Speaking of that, Chuck did you get your conversion done?
Sand or grit blasting is good for the pedalbox and associated stuff but I would refrain from doing a master cylinder. Glass beads under low pressure will provide a nice finish but consider the fact that you will be removing the original zinc finish if you blast an early m/c, or clutch m/c. And there is the danger of the grit getting inside and making trash of your new seals, so be sure that it is super clean before you reassemble is you go the blasting route. Oh, and don't blast the inside bore!
 
they broke my leg Gerry. I've been doin body work with the intent of spraying the car in march, but that has been moved back to whenever. I'll convert her over when I put the engine compartment back together
