clutch bleeder extention

awhile ago someone posted away to extend the bleeder for the clutch so you did not have to lay on your side in the foot well. i could not find it in the arcives. if anyone has done this would you please post an explaination on how you did , it would be great

-3 AN / JIC fittings have 3/8-24 thread which is the same as the bleeder screw. I use a -3 union with a crush washer to replace the bleeder screw but the more proper way is to use a JIC x straight thread (ORB) adapter. -3 fittings can be harder to find which is why I used the union. From there I have a -3 hose going to an accessible location with a tube plug in the end of the hose. I crack the plug to bleed it. Others have used fittings to get the bleeder screw back into the end but I just see that as extra unnecessary fittings.
 
With a bleeder on the end (as opposed to just a plug) you can slip on a hose and capture the fluid and see the bubbles.
 
I put a speed bleeder on mine, attached a hose into a jar and depressed the pedal till the bubbles stopped. Yes you still do need to climb in there but the speed bleeder makes it simple.

So who's got a source and part numbers for the things to do this. I've seem pics of what it looks like up top, just not down below.
 
thanks guys, now my next ? is how long is the extention and where did you put it. in the engine bay or coil it up on the slave ? any pix out there?

24” -3 hose

-3 plug <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Or</span></span> -3 to 3/8-24 adapter for bleeder is desired <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">And</span></span> 3/8-24 speed bleeder

I'm lazy and just have it zip tied up in the engine bay.
