So, this weekend I took the slave cylinder off the transmission. I took an electrical box cover and drilled three holes, two for the mounting bolts, 2.25 inches from each other and another 2 1/8, equi distance from the two mounting holes. The slave cylinder was then mounted to this piece of metal. The system was then bled until it felt like the brake system. It appears to have worked well. And it really did feel like the brake system.

can you send a picture? I'm not visualizing it but it sounds helpful

I agree, a pic or two would really help in understanding that!!

I get the gist of it: dangle the slave under the car, still connected to the master, in a steel box with a "wall" to keep the "puck" from flyin' out and bleed it that way. Negates the need for three extra joints per finger (A.K.A. "Lotus Fingers") to bleed it in-situ.

Me likee! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Yes thats correct.

Born and raised in New England (Rhode Island). Yes, I thought it was "idear" -- that's where the "r" from "weird" went, or as we'd say it: "weid". /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I always thought that was a Yorkshireman's answer to his missus..."Aye dear!" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

A good idear(sic) nontheless!!! Thanks for the tip!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif
