Randy, Novice Eh??

I started back in the stone age....moved up to pinhole camera and moved up from there...

I ma old. I remember Tri-x Film pushed to 1600 ASA in Rodinal and the wonderful smell of fixer in my darkroom.

36 frames per roll of film and you actually needed to know what you were doing instead of the spray and pray method today.

Now it is pixels and photoshop :frown:

David. The picture you posted is at f4.8, 1/10 exposure and ISO 800.

Nikon D90 at 45mm.... I see you are using Photoshop Elements so you can mess with the sliders easy enough.

Follow the steps I posted.....curious to see what you get.

Might be all good and that blob was just a "floater"

What F-stop? ...did you run the levels on it?

The way I do it is to open Photoshop and fill the screen with a white background.
Ideally set the camera format ot RAW. If you are not used to that, use the largest JPeg format you have.
Set the camera at F22
ISO 100
Aperture priority
Shutter speed will be something like 1 second or more
Take the image.

Import the image to Photoshop
Open the levels commend and move the slider to the left as far as it will go.
The dirt spots will show
Clean sensor and put it back together and take another pic.

Rinse & repeat

Maybe it was a UFO!!!!

Ouch...now my head hurts.
We going WAY over point and shoot's head.
I'll try to follow up your advise.
I'm trying not to have to read a book here.
Point and shooter.
Feeble attempt ensues:
Raw w/Ap priority F22 ISO200.
Slow shutter indeed.
:thankyousign:
Grasshopper is thankful.

I hear ya. I'm learning. Old dog shown new tricks often fails.
He'll try nonetheless.
Lord I hope I can get the camera back to point and shoot.

.....Mother Ship....making a fast flyby....and that's why it did not show up in the later pic...

my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Soooo...I thought I'd goggle Table Rock UFO...
Got this from 2007 apparently from a tourist.
My wife also pointed out the missile
deployment back in the hills.
Defensive system.
Any who...just thought I'd stir this pot a bit.
I still think the falling pea pod looks like the best cigar shape of choice for me.

Shape: Cigar
Duration:Brief (1-2 min.)
Appeared different from any aircraft known to me because of shape and lack of jet stream.

We were checking out of a small motel on S.C. 11, in Pickens County, SC, across from Table Rock State Park when the owner pointed out a silver cigar-shaped object moving across the sky in a northwesterly direction. Size, altitude and speed of the object were difficult to determine, but we were puzzled by the fact that the object appeared to have no wings or tail, and left no jet stream. It seemed to be too slim and was moving too fast for a dirigible, yet did not appear to be moving as fast as a jet plane. My sighting was brief before it became blocked by trees. The motel owner said she had spotted similar objects, flying in a group, only two days before. Since this was in daytime, we spotted no lights on the object, but it appeared to be reflecting sunlight. We heard no sound.

I ain't vouching for the above account nor claiming any similarity...just saying ...I goggled.
Near and behind Table Rock is the Jocassee Jorges Area. 33k+ of deep woods and mountains. I helped the State map guys get in there with the GPS stuff. Tough access. Limited these days.
Incredible nature area, rich with game, water etc. Pristine areas.
I still get chills thinking about 4 wheeling the FJ40 Cruiser
back in there. Maybe 1 of the last trucks to ever go into some
of the more remote areas.
My last post on this oddity...I swear.
