Well, the 1275 is rebuilt, running and in the car. Got a new aluminum radiator - looks good to me. forward hinged bonnet fitted with some hydralic arms, windshield all cleaned up, dash layed out and most instruments in. Trunk done, carpet in house also seat covers, clips just came.

Almost done.

Wanted to put the battery in the boot, like a big Healey, so..... came up with a Mk II or III trunk lid, curvature pretty close, changed size, added reinforcement and lip, then made closure with a push mechanism.
Also wanted some security to hide a cut off switch, so will be making a bulkhead behind the seats to add some security to the whole deal. Yeah, yeah, I know it's not stock, standard or factory but this car is way beyond that now. No turning back....... some have suggested a whale tail, but that will go along with the other, space frame V8 future car. HA , ha!!!!!!

square nosed Sprite. no. Bug eye 1960.

Thanks! 2015 Chevy color

Ignition Key / Light Switch I don't see. Are you using a Mk II Dash?

My wife dislikes the Mk I start switch, so she wanted a "normal" ignition key and a start button.

Looks like you're at the 90% Done, 90% to go stage! Nice color and nice build.

Yep, the last 10% always seems to take the longest. Then you realize there's a few other things... - like the top and tonneau arrangement - ... but at least steady progress is being made! Revolution wheels are waiting for us. (Thanks, Eric!)

Here are some photos of the bonnet job. Most should be self explanatory....lots of reinforcements.
