Closed cell battery

Over a year ago, the topic of a sealed (closed cell) battery that worked best for the AH was discussed. Someone mentioned a specific brand name & model, & the name of the parts store (Advance?). I didn't know how to search for that discussion, so could someone give me those details again.
Thanks,
Guy

I did find the discussion. It was about the Optima battery, red top 34/78 sold at Autozone. Most comments were quite favorable except some about the looks.
Any new comments?
Thanks

I have the red top Optima in my car, and it's doing fine.

I purchased it about four (4) years ago, and didn't realize that my voltage regulator wasn't charging it until I got the car on the road this past August...

I have had an Optima Red Top for two years. I drive 1000+ miles per year and the car sits for periods of up to four weeks without moving during the driving season. In our hot summers I do not drive it at all June - August. I have NEVER charged the battery and it NEVER fails to start the car.

I have the yellow top, and like the red, the color does stand out. I slow charge it after the car has been sitting for more than a month just to be on the safe side. It has been super dependable, will buy one again if need be.

My BJ8 came with an Interstate 5+ years ago and it is great first time start every time. I have no idea how long it has been in-service. I don't remember if it is closed or refillable cause I never worry about it. I'm just concerned about keeping it that way. I belive it is less expensive than the Optima.
