Hey guys,
Need some help. Can anyone point me to, or send me, some Triumph clip art/graphics? Preferably TR6 stuff.
Thanks,
Paul

Ya know, I can't remember seeing any over the years. Not that it doesn't exist, I just don't know where to get it.

If you're doing a club newsletter or publication, I'd contact TRF, Moss, Vicky Brit, BPNW and ask them if they have anything. You can always give them credit in the publication and that usually jars free stuff loose.

You mean......something like this?

I got a Tee Shirt from these guys https://www.speednation.com/store/triumph.html and there's a few pages of Triumph graphics. Not that I'd ever suggest "borrowing" their graphics.

I have two that I drew myself. I also have them in larger sizes.
One is my current avitar.
And the other is this.

Tom, with regards to your avitar, I want to paint that logo on my garage door (the one between the garage and the house so you only see it from inside the garage). I was going to project it onto the door so I could trace it. My question is, would you be willing to send me the file so I can project it on the door?

Adrio

Adrio I might have what you need PM me with your address And I send you what I have

I actually painted that exact logo on my garage wall infront of where my TR8 sleeps. I have the H3 Logo in front of my Hummer. Guys seems to really like it, women all think it is really stupid.

What do they know?

Something about men. Nothing about cars (in most instances).

Ever notice that there aren't a lot of women hanging around here with us?

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]Something about men.[/QUOTE]

There might be a reason for that.

This is the funniest thing I've read all day - lol.

I always liked the Triumph World Logo the best. It would be a lot of work Painting it though. Anyone know where or has a large size file of this one they could send me?

Rich, the blurred detail is why I drew the ones I did. I actually drew them as solid CAD models so I can machine them if I ever want to. I can also rotate them in any direction, scale to any size, or change to any color and make a screen shot to capture the position for a pic.
I also have an accurate scale CAD drawing of the Union Jack. I made it to the official dimensions.
I see there have been several downloads of my drawing. Use with permission only guys. Permission is easy to obtain for not-for-profit use.

Everytime someone looks at the web page, the counter increments. Which is reasonable, since everything you see "on the web" gets copied to your hard drive.

If you don't want people to download it, take it off the web.

Not exactly clip art, but here's a cool image I found. Use at your own risk.

Randall,

I'm old enough to clearly remember many of those AmphiCars used on the lakes back in western PA. They were quite popular back in the early 60's.

I never worked on one, but they were quite simple and rather neat in what they did with that simplicity.

LBJ used to have an AmphiCar on his ranch, the story is he enjoyed taking visitors in it then fake losing the brakes and run it in the water just to see their reactions.

And if I remember correctly, the AmphiCar is at least part Triumph - runs with a Herald engine and Lucas electrics to boot.

As Randall said, every time someone views the thread and the post with your image, it shows as a download. If I right clicked it and copied the image, it would not register as an extra download. Think of that download couter as a view counter.

Other than that, since there appears to be no copyright on your image, technically no one needs to ask you to download it since you put it on a public forum. They should, to be respectful, but you have no recourse against them if they use it without your permission. Especially since yours is a version of a previously copyrighted image that, unless I'm wrong, is still owned by BMW.

One of the best ways to make using an image you post unpalatable to copy and use without your permission is to make it a very low resolution image. Make the image the size you want to display, then make sure the resolution is set at 72dpi. That way it will look clear on the monitor at that size, but fall apart quickly if someone wants to enlarge it or zoom in on it. You can also add a watermark to it that interferes with reproduction. Then if someone wants a better quality image, they have to ask.

I did not understand about the download numbers.
All I ask is for anyone that might want to use them is to respect my efforts. A simple "I would like to use it" would be fine. That is what happened with the larger original drawing with one person.
I was not saying people cannot use them but some seem to have been offended. And the response was successful, I was also. And following the reasoning, I also now realize that all the avitars are free to anyone.
