Cleaning stainless steel

I just purchased a new(for me) stainless steel grill. It has never been used but has some stains and some kind of overspray on it.

Question 1. What is a good stainless steel cleaner?

Question 2. What is a good overspray cleaner? I have tried lacquer thinner and it works O.K., but it is a pain to use. What else is out there?

Question 3. What is the best to use to remove marks and scratches? I tried 1000 grit wet sandpaper in a not seen area and it looked too shiny. Too fine I guess. What's a good grit paper to use?

Thanks in advance.

Mailbox- is this grill for a TR6?
If so, are you positive it is SS and not aluminum?

Easy-Off oven cleaner will remove the overspray.
Wear gloves and don't breathe the fumes.

Careful though, Easy-Off can etch/discolor the metal!!!!

I use Weiman products on my kitchen appliances. Very good for stainless steel.

Thanks for the reply guys, but I didn't make myself very clear. I just got a BBQ grill. To be honest, I wasn't thinking car grill (I mean come on, it's not like this is a car forum or something). Hey my bad.
