Is there a good product to remove silicone brake fluid from a painted surface well enough that it can be repainted? I am doing a respray of the spitfire and I have Dot 5 all over the scuttle.

Thanks

water, rags, air.... A good wipe. If you really want it dry, after the Dot 5 is gone, go over with an alcohol soaked rag.

You're really going to need a product specifically made to get silicone off the paint, or you will run into problems. The auto body/paint place will have there favorite brand for you. My place gave me stuff called Anti-Sil. It's recommended to use something like this even if you don't think there is any silicone on the paint.

I've got to figure out how to get all the DOT3 off of the inside of the car where the M/C leaked and it rusted w/o pulling my carpet. I want to POR15 it before it gets too bad.
