Hi,

I wondering what most folks use to clean their convertible top plastic windows. Are their any household products that you can use? Will any product remove the yellow tint? Thanks.

Robbins (Top Company) says "Warm water with a soft cloth only" I do that first, then use a product called "Plexus plastic cleaner , protectant & polish" You can find it at most biker shops. My top is 20+ yrs. old & still clear but never stored outside (& if the sun is shining, it's in the boot!!)

I heard (years ago) that toothpaste was great for clearing the yellow from rag-top windows. I never tried it cuz mine weren't yellowed. Has anyone tried this?

Abrasives are tricky but sometimes the only recourse for a really fogged/yellow top. I have used Simichrome chrome polish on an extreme case, then milder polish and finally an electric buffer. The result was a big improvement but far short of 'as new'.
