Classic Motorsports article on the Sebring Alpine

The Latest issue of Classic Motorsport has a feature written by John Webber on the 1962 Sebring Alpine which was raced by Joe Sheppard and Tom Payne (as well as Lew Spencer). This is the issue with the yellow Corvette on the front. Steve Alcala did a great job of restoring this car - the only Sebring factory car restored at this time. The details on this car are great even down to the alloy panels.

BTW, Sunbeam is one of the few Marques with a number of significant Factory and historic race cars missing: 1) All the 1961 Sebring Alpines 2) one of the Le Mans Alpines (stolen I believe in the 80's) 3) The Hollywood Sports Car Alpine of JerryTitus 4) Steve Fronies' Alpine which Stirling Moss and Jack Brahbam drove. 5) The Sports Car Forum Alpine. As well as a number of others. All but the LeMans Alpine disappeared in the U.S..
