TR2/3/3A Cigarette Lighter Install

I'm planning to install a cigarette lighter plug (phone charger/GPS power source) in my TR3A. I've already converted to negative ground so the electrical connections are straight forward. What I'm wondering is where to put the plug and how to fasten it to the car. Has anyone made this installation and, if so, how did they attach the plug? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!
 
Mine came with a small plastic bracket, which I attached to the lower edge of the dash using some existing holes.

It also came with a rubber cover, which I like.

I still use positive ground so that is a piece of Masonite to isolate the socket.
 
I put mine inside the glove box. Used it for GPS and for phone charging. Easy to get to, out of sight - and my knees didn't want anything more under the dash!

I also mounted it in the glove box along with a voltmeter in the same bracket. You have to have the glove box door open to use it, but I don't find that a problem. Besides, if I'm using the GPS, it's usually stuffed in the glove box also.

When I bought my car in 1976 it was mounted where mart-5 has that black button in the lower left of the pic. Don't know if it was a factory install there or if they even did cigarette lighters as OEM. When I restored the car I covered it up, now I'm looking to do the same for my phone chargers. On the complete opposite side I installed the washer squirter switch. I was afraid to remount the cigarette lighter in it's original spot and make the dash look too crowed.
 
I installed mine on the passenger side just up under the dashboard, attached to the side bulkhead above the upholstery.
The bulkhead provided the ground and the live side was to the A4 connector on the fuse console. (switched and fused)
You can also attach the live side to the A1 connector if you want it hot all the time.
