so I got this new car and it has chrome wheels, something I have been able to avoid for years. Whats the best way to care for them? wax? some other product?
 
Be <span style="font-style: italic">real sure</span> they're not coated before you use polish on 'em. If it's genuine uncoated real chrome them Basil's Simichrome is terrific stuff - if they're coated you'll ruin 'em.

Get a set of brake dust shields and install on the wheels then standard chrome poishes will maintain the surface.
Without the shields you will loose the chrome to the brake dust depsits.-Keoke
 
Is brake dust shields hold in heat reducing brake life an urban motoring legend?
