Oh wise ones. I just spent two hours polishing chrome trim around a window. It was pitted and very dirty. While it is shiny now, still with a few scratches that I am going to live with, I think the pits will come back. Is there any wax or other type of sealant that you have used on chrome to keep the pits from coming back?
Statement #2- I spent 4 hours yesterday trying to polish out scratches in some of the windows. (Not front windscreen). While they look cleaner, I can't say the scratches were removed. I even tried using 2000 sandpaper and then polish but not much success. One spot I used 400, 500, 800, and back to 1200 with not much success. The videos on youtube make it look easy, but I am not a believer. Yes, I did have some of Eastwood glass polish to use also.
