Chrome Bumpers

Well my wife Terri finally talked me into converting my rubber bumpers to chrome bumpers.What does it take to convert these?I bought 1971 MGB chrome bumpers will these work?

I'm moving this back to the top....the question still stands...what is actually involved in the conversion?
David entered a really low ball price for a front bumper on a "make me an offer" and it was accepted, so I guess we are in this for a conversion. It looks like the light spaces are already cut out and we are wondering if this is more than just bolting up one for another...

Yes, your complete '71 bumper will fit if you have every part of the bracketry.

Here's some help on the front end:

& then you just need a couple of old front fenders (or the park light areas from a set of bad fenders).

Once you look up under a chrome car, you'll understand how to adapt the rails to attach a front bumper.

The rear requires the 2 small pieces from under a chrome car's taillights...they're available new from Moss.

You'll also have to build a bracket to bolt the rear bumper assembly to the holes where the rear rubber bumper attaches.

Then, you'll have to lower the entire car to achieve a chrome car's stance.

Just to throw it out there, Moss sells a complete chrome bumper conversion kit. I've seen the results and they are very good. No personal experience with them but I've seen enough completed conversions to form an opinion.
