My lovely wife (not named Sybil) agreed to be a guinea pig for me yesterday to play around with different lighting configurations using my 2 600EX-RT Speedlites. In this one, I had a medium-sized (31" x 31") soft box off to the left, placed pretty close, and a second Speedlite, shooting from behind, through the tree, to provide a bit of "rim light." I had one set as Group A and the other as group B, then I played around with power ratios.

Lovely! (and the photography is pretty good too)

I like the way you slightly defocused the tree & ornaments :
invited my eye to notice your charming wife's hair corsage, then follow her gaze.

is photography becoming more than a hobby?

:iagree: Probably true for a lot of us.

You've done well. Both in phtography and subject. You are blessed.

Have to admit, in addition to the portrait being beautiful, the BCF snowflakes falling over it on the screen make it even more wondrous!
