Christmas Gift Idea for TR Lovers

That's a great looking model. I have the older one that they brought out a few years back, red with the black interior. I like the racing stripe and the tan interior better. Funny thing, they have it right hand drive but use the clear American spec turn signals. I thought the UK version only used the amber turn signal lenses.

If you have a couple of thousand bucks you want to spend check out their Porsche Spyder. Its a pretty amazing model.

That 3A looks nice, but I think it would have looked much nicer if they hadn't covered the entire engine bay area in imitation coal tar. That's such an odd contrast to the little AC filter decals and other details under the bonnet!?

Andy: I agree completely. They certainly got that detail wrong. But I would buy it if I had an extra C-note.

Geez -- it's only a matter of time before these cost more than I paid for my real one. I got the red and yellow in the prior issue, actually quite nice and the engine bay was normal on those.

...I'm surprised they don't have a BRG/tan option.

A couple of years ago a friend gave me a 1/18 Green/Tan TR3A -- with Betty Boop at the wheel. Made in France as you can see by the headlamps.

Does anyone have dimensions on those racing stripes? I think it would be very cool to add these stripes to my currently primer gray TR3A. Any photos of Triumphs with these stripes or dimensions would be much appreciated!

and I mean dimensions on a full size car, not on the model... Yes, I do know my audience when I post on the BCF!

Notice it is a pre-order - I am guessing they need a certain minimum to make a run. Kyosho models are incredibly detailed and well respected in the model car hobby - they actually did make the TR3 years ago but are no longer in production - occasionally 1 shows up on ebay - usually around $149.00 and up.... I have the red/black one in my 1/18 collection bought from the Taiwan seller 'gto288tw' below on ebay- matches my Heritage Cert for my car. Right hand drive, but otherwise spot on - very nice - incredible detail for sure....very happy with it...

Howdy Folks,

I`ve had a "Primrose Yellow" TR3 that I "GAVE AWAY" as a X`mas gift over a yr. ago. Ebay was approx. $135.00. This particular color was really long time coming.

I currently have a "Black Ext / Red Int" & the cost was about the same as above (Again a Ebay purchase). I`d like to take this one & paint it the color of my current (Real)`57TR3 (Beige Ivory Ext) but ???? I know I won`t find one anywhere.

My current collection consists of over "30" 1/18th Diecast Models (Most Kyosho which (In my opinion) probably has the best detail. My collection was started over 2yrs. ago when I got this "Itch" to display "Every" Toy Car I have ever owned (Toy Cars; Not "Chev. Nova or Dodge Caravan").

I still am searching for about "10" more cars.

Its pretty cool as I have a "Perpetual" car show going on in my L/R.

Don't know why they did that to the engine bay. The 1/18 TR3 I bought many year ago from the same company had the engine bay with just the correct body color.
