Wedge chopping up a TR7

I am parting out a white TR7 convertible. I'll haul the carcass to the junk yard tomorrow. If there is anything anybody needs, let me know. I usually don't keep anything that can't be used on my TR8 race car. This is about the 20th TR7 that I have put to rest. Do you still think there is a spot in heaven for me?

There's an especially hot place reserved in heck reserved for people like us (lit by Lucas). I walk by a pretty decent, almost running TR7 every day that I could take for the hauling so I can't really chastise you for not putting a bunch of time, work and $$$ into one.

As for parts, I could use the inside escutcheon (I think that's what it's called) for the driver's door release. It's the plastic plate that goes under the latch handle. Also, of course, I need the plastic heater knob, doesn't everybody? If you've got these available let me know what you want for them.

Brad at wedgeparts.com has brand new (reproduced) heater/vent knobs that are actually stronger than the originals. About $5 each. I need escutcheons for both doors. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Interior door handle plastic backing plates - that's all you need? You must have a really nice car. Send me a PM with your address and I'll get them in the mail. If I dig around, I'm sure I can find a few sets. Call Brad for the heater control knobs. The only good set I have is made out of billet aluminum. It's good to have a nephew who is in a machinist program at a vo-tech school.

Todd -

If you have more door handle escutcheons, I'll take a pair.
Door lock buttons (round ones), also. I'm sure there's more stuff I could use, but that's all that comes to mind at the moment.

That can happen when your the third owner of the car. Especially when the first owner sold it after two years with about 5k miles and the second owner cared for it like a member of the family until I bought it last year. In fact, since I'm the first owner to not garage it on a nightly basis, I just might be the bad owner if it weren't for all the maintenance and driving that I do with it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
