Choke cable T handle broke off - cable jammed in outer sheath. Have new assembly temporarily installed but not thru original dash hole - only thru fire wall into driver side footwell . This works (2 handedly) I have looked for advice on how to simply access behind dash to remove and replace original but alas my hands are too big to get up to back area with wrench to remove nut from backside of old unit. Some day I'll figure it out?? For now my question is - as a temporary fix I plan on locating a small angle bracket screwed to square tubing (lowerleft dash frame) down by front hood pull. Has any one else done this or does any one see any problems in doing this. Cable is longer than need be to go to new location, will this be a problem? At least it will be one handed and secure til i find a leprechaun who likes to lay on his back and stand on his head.
