chips in the paint

Has anyone found a clear paint or some type of film to go over the front of our cars? I know they are out there but don't have any experience with them. If you drive your car a lot there are going to be chips in the paint. There has to be a solution.

Murray,

I believe that 3M makes something that you describe. I have seen it used on a TR6 before.

Try searching the 3M website.

I friend has a lotus with Scotchgard applied. When properly done, you do not see it unless you are looking for it.

Here is a link to the application guide.

Detailers and upper end body shops and window tinters have the tools and skills to apply it, or give it a go yourself as it is not permanently bonded to the paint. I was thinking of doing it on the lower front and rear fenders.

If you do this, let us know how it goes.
