There is an interesting article in the May 2008 edition of Our State Magazine (North Carolina) about the Chimney Rock Hillclimb held from 1956 to 1995 in the North Carolina mountains. Elvas, Alfas, Healeys, Porsches, Minis, MGs, Mazdas, and many others competed over the years. The website is https://www.ourstate.com, but I don't know if this article and photos will be on it or not.

Hap, do you know a guy in Greenville named John Finger with a Mazda dealership? He is named in the article with 12 wins at the event.

Wasn't Finger a National SCCA Champion?
Umteen years in a row,if I remember,in an RX7.
