There is an interesting article in the May 2008 edition of Our State Magazine (North Carolina) about the Chimney Rock Hillclimb held from 1956 to 1995 in the North Carolina mountains. Elvas, Alfas, Healeys, Porsches, Minis, MGs, Mazdas, and many others competed over the years.
