Wife is home sick today (we normally carpool) so I drove the MG in to work this morning. Very dark and cold here at 6:30 am for the drive in. I'm afraid it's probably the last top-down drive to work I'll do this year. Bummer.

Our last car club drive is next weekend, then I admit I'll be pulling the MGB off the road to do a few end of season projects before tucking her away for the snow season. Sad, but we've already had our fist snow (up above me on the peaks).

I'm already cold. :cryin:

Well Drew, seems like the temps are changing a little here in Oklahoma also, as the heaters came on in the house this morning for the first time this year! Not a happy picture in my book, as I don't like winter! But it does make you appreciate spring a whole lot more when it arrives. PJ

I'm not a fan of winter at all (one could wonder why I live up in the mountains, but that's another story). We need a big one this year, though, as we've been in near drought conditions here after a dry winter and dry summer. Hoping for a big one, even though it means lots of shoveling for me.

Cold front coming through this weekend. Probably the last MGB drive for the year too. Everything will get tucked away in the new barn in the next couple weeks.

Chilly here as well, but also sunny, after several drizzly days. Next few days look great; hopefully I can take the B out for some exercise.

Pouring here. My 12-year old Miata top was leaking like a sieve today. Maybe I should get a new top for it.....in about five more years.

We're getting a bit of tree colour here with lots of orange and red leaves. Real pretty.

We'll be at Watkins Glen next week. This time of year The Glen is always a visual treat because of the leaves.

Photo from a previous WG event (Linda took this from the pace car).

I used to like winter. Then I bought a house. Funny how that changes things. I've been refurbing a heater for the heater-less Tunebug... hoping to stay on the road into the first couple weeks of December. We still haven't turned the heat on in the house. Bought an electric blanket instead.

Heck, a little duct tape will fix it. or 5 years of use, I'd be looking for a roll of EB Green. That will hold up to about 300 feet of submergence depth......

Funny how that changes thing. Glad Tunebug's going to get a heater -- always intended to add one, just never got to it.

Fall color up here starts in mid August, all pretty much wrapped up by now. We had better colors here than I expected this year, given our really dry summer.

At least this year, now that I have the little barn built and the MG close I might be able to sneak in a drive in November. Was much harder to do when I had to put the car into storage offsite for the winter.

Leaves are just starting to get some color here. Hopefully, there will still be some color when we head over to the Smokies in a few weeks.

By the way, Dave (14dna) and his bride will be over there at the same time. We'd like to get a BCF group together. Check out the thread in the Pub:

And let us know if you can join us!

Give a good wave to Dave and his wife for me, I still owe him for doing the pre-purchase look over on my MGB.

Drew

you seem very happy with the "B" so no more necessary.
Too bad you can't make it to Tennessee as I would love to meet you in person.

Dave P.S. it will happen one day :savewave:

Of course ican't find it now but i recall a few years ago seeing one of the big british MG clubs' catalogues. The MG clothes was not so much t shirts as MG bomber jackets and gloves and toques - context is everything.

This is the first week in a long while the daily/weekly high temp will be consistently below 90. But the rains keep coming.

26f outside at my office this morning. Brrrr.

Drove the B in anyways. Top up, of course.

Very much so, really happy with the B. We'll have a get together one of these days.
