No really...they do. Forgot to wear socks on the outside of my pants while weeding the veggie garden.
Man I hate those things. Thankfully they hit the back of my knees before they found more "sensitive" areas.
Ran in took a quick scrubbing shower and applied anointment
to limit the damage.

Spawn of the devil, they are!

Fingernail polish on them, or a product called "Chigarid" will kill 'em - but not after they've already driven you crazy.

Nasty little buggers!

They are here in Pumpkintown for sure.
Growing up I always heard they burrowed into the skin.
Old wive's tale. They bite and suck and their saliva triggers
a reaction. Fingernail polish is what we used as kids. Now I just put bug bite ointment on for symptomatic relief after a shower and wash the clothes. Drown the blood sucking Devil's Spawn!

Bacardi helps, too.

Especially with coke and lime!

What's the difference tween them and ticks?

No but I had a few ticks get pretty big on my body when I lived in Md.

Chiggers are TINY..almost microscopic bugs. Ya never see one.
Even tiny deer ticks are monsters by comparison.
Here is a chart of their home range.
This is a pic of a big one.
