I ran into my buddy with the hot-rod shop today. He's moving his digs a mile or so over from where he is now, and I was gonna stop in and chat with him. Hes got a 1950 "Poncho" that's been hangin around his place for years. I mentioned to him it was starting to get a bit weather worn, and he comes back with, "Yea, It's 'bout time to let it go. I'll make ya a heck of a deal."
AGGG! My wife's gonna kill me!!
hehehehe... It's not any kind of a sure thing , but I am gonna drop in and chat with him this week. Flat black, red steelie rims, wide whites! Perfect rat-rod. I'll keep ya all posted.

You DOG!!! What a great cruiser that will be. Lets have some details. Straight 6 or 8? @ doors or four? Etc etc. Always been a fan of the tin injun...

You know you want it... Get it! At least get us pictures.

Ben;
That is sooooo Cooooooooooooooooool!
I'll come over from Can. to help you, if needed

Dave

2 door, straight-8. It runs, needs brake work and tires Pretty much bone stock, interior is all but gone.I figure I'll find some cool seats at the junk yard, practice my upholstery work on some door panels. Low budget-rat rod.
All hinges on our conversation this week. Pics and updates soon.
Don't tell my wife!!! hehehehehe

This isn't it, but it's this body style, 2-door Streamliner
Love the skirts, and visor on this one.

yup... I need another project like I need a hole in the head...
It's a sickness...

oh brother......

sold a '40 Buick Tudor for $500 not long ago and kicking myself. Could use a rat rod right about now.....

Oh man. A fastback too? You can't let that get away. :cooler:

This car has been haunting me for 9 years. We'll see

A buddy of mine had a 421 with tri power in one of those that looked dead stock, except for modern tires. The exhaust was kept mild, but he dd have modern brakes on it. What a sleeper!!! He sold it off for BIG $$$ to a guy from NY and I never saw or heard of it again.

Hoo boy... Went and looked at it today. It's rough, but not far from being a streetable rat-rod. Wiring kit, new tires, secure the seats, fix some broken windows, and a fresh blast of flat black and it would be a riot. My buddy has just moved his digs into a much bigger space, and can even store it for a while.
Price is pretty durn good too...
