TR2/3/3A Chevron TR3?

Am I mistaken or did Chevron produce a toy model TR3 to go along with their animated Techron commercials? Maybe I'm just thinking that because the front of a TR3/TR2 looks so much like the faces on all those claymation cars! Anyone recall seeing or thinking they saw a Triumph in those commercials?

Those ads are produced by Nick Park. A Brit. So it's quite possible. He's better known for his 30 min.claymation movies of Wallace and Gromit.(extremely detailed, each one took about 3 years to make) If you haven't seen them you gotta! They're very clever and funny. In one of the three shorts, ("A Close Shave")Wallace rides an old Triumph motorcycle with a sidecar for Gromit (the dog).
They are actually going to put out a full length feature this fall https://www.wallaceandgromit.com/fla/wg.html
I can't wait. (what kind of car is that? I haven't been able to pin point it. Austin maybe?)
He's also behind the movie Chicken Run, The Serta sheep ads, and the Hubba Bubba gum ads.

I have 2 of the W & G tapes-- really fun and really amazing-- Got 'em "to entertain the kids" (our kids are grown)

Nick Park also did something before the Wallace and Gromit productions. It was some kind of short with interviews with zoo animals. His stuff is really creative.

Just looked at the trailer for the movie. I think he modeled their car after the Austin A40 Somerset. If its 2 door its a Somerset, 4 door would be a Devin. The Flying A hood orniment is very evident.

Too bad he didn't use an Atlantic, they were from a little later, 4 door and 3 headlights, I believe the center one turned with the steering (ala Tucker?).

The name of that short is "Creature Comforts". That's really funny.
The three current Wallace and Gromit adventures, in order of release are:
A Grand Day out
The Wrong Trousers
A Close Shave.
All are worth the 25 minutes they last. And like all good British comedy, every time you watch it you spot something new.

I need to correct myself on several counts.

The 2 door A40 was the Dorset. I think that may be what nick is modeling W & G's car after.

the proper spelling of the 4 door A40 is Devon.

A few years back Carl's Jr the hamburger chain was offering the a set of W & G toys in their kids meal. I have the complete set, but no kids javascript:void(0)
