Check Valve for Reservac Tank - MK2

Hello all,
In the restoration process, I am now working on the reservac tank and stoneguard assembly. The original check valve cleaned up nicely, but how do I know if it is functioning properly? A new one doesn't cost much but I am not into spending money on new parts if the originals are fine. Do these things go bad? Is there a test I can do?

Thanks,

Lin

Yeah, they go bad. I check them orally. If they don't pull a suction in one direction, free in the other, replace it.

The trick really is to get it hooked up correctly. Again, oral checking, so vacuum from inlet goes directly to tank, shuts off when you pressurize (orally) the line from the inlet manifold.
