Re: rate this one

Gardener,
Welcome to the BCF from a neighbor of Dorney Park. I am old enough to remember when they had deer pens there, and Hurricane Hazel knocked down the fences. I saw a deer go by our house on the front sidewalk followed by an Allentown Police Car awaiting the game warden with tranquilizer darts.

Glad to see there is now someone to keep Dale under control. Enjoy your new ride. It will be fun to learn of the times you two get to travel together.

Hola Gardener y bienvenido al BCF

Mi nombre es Frank

Vivo en Pensylvania en los EE. UU

Tengo dos coches. Una TR250 y una TR3A

Sr. Dale es un muy buen amigo, pero él gasta demasiado dinero para su coche.

Por favor ayĂşdele con su coche.

Mucho gusto - Frank (el padrino)

My grand parents would take us there for a wonderful day. I well
remember the scary and noisy wooden roller coaster. Probably
torn down decades ago. I did not know the park was still open.

Edit: I think Gardener has owned several Triumphs prior to this one.
I am hoping he will be able to help this non-mechanic guy (me) get
my TR6 sorted out so it is reliable transportation.

Re: rate this one

Back in the day, I hit a deer with my TR3. I was cooking it pretty good and came around a curve and the thing was standing in the middle of the road. I locked it up and was going to go around behind it and it decided to change direction. I hit it broad side. All I could see was it coming up over the hood. For some reason that didn't happen and it folded the whole front end down. Very lucky it was only sheet metal that got hurt. Of course the deer didn't fair so well.

Dorney Park still has the wooden ThunderHawk, although there are lots of larger coasters there now as well. It is no longer the cool no admission park of my youth, but now a major destination owned by Cedar Fair which also owns Cedar Point in Sandusky OH, and Valley Fair near Minneapolis.

It's called "CB" oops!!
By the way, today I was in Dorado and pass by El Caracol!!!

AH!! I remember CB - "breaker one nine, breaker one nine, good buddy,
catcha on the flip flop, look out for smokie at exit #6;
that's a big ten four, darn this double nickle!!"

Yup, El Caracol - food is terrible but the beer is cold and
the ocean view stunning.

Soon there will be two red TR6 parked with the bikers!!

d
