Sad.

He isn't "getting" that kind of money yet. He's 'asking'.

Someone has made an offer, but clearly for less than the BIN price.

I think this illustrates a point I've made on occasion: the NADA guide is OK as a general starting point, but it is sometimes wildly unrealistic in specific cases. Also, remember that it quotes retail prices, (i.e., dealer asking prices), not prices for individual transactions.

And, it's not unusual for ebay sellers to be a tad optimistic about values. I kinda think we've all noticed this....

Makes mine in the neighborhood of $30,000..yee haw...hope he gets his money!!

I guess someone saw the "Austin Healey" name plate and thought they had a treasure.

Should we email him and tell him his Austin Healy Sprite is second in rarity only to an Austin Healy Coke and if he can find one and sell them as a pair, he can name his price??! <said with utmost sincerity and the straightest face possible!>

Rule #15526 says we should not talk about cars on Ebay.

Cheers
Mark

Oops, my mistake. I stopped at rule #15525......missed the next one. My apologies to all.......

Constructive criticism  !!! You never know who you are knocking!!!!

Yup, we have few members that live in that area. However, I do not think this car belongs to any of the regular posters.

Well, I still say "I hope he gets his money."
