The bonnet is officially back on, and the only thing keeping me from hitting the road again (after over a year in the basement) is the lack of a road. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif With all the rain we've had the past few days, my back yard is technically a swamp. It'll take a couple of weeks for it to dry out enough for me to drive through it. In the meantime, I can finish my new interior panels.

WOOHOO! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

You could always lay down some plywood in the backyard to make a bridge. Bugeyes aren't very heavy, you know.

Good to hear you'll have the Bugeye back on the road this summer. That's got to feel good.

Looks like your little air force is dive bombing it!

That is very nice, congratulations on a job well done.

Now how about some white and red raceing stripes to just set it off. lol.

just noticed you are from Russellville, AR Kurtis. I'm gonna have to bring the midget by when I finish it. I plan on driving it there after the rebuild is complete in a couple of years, with the wife in tow. (actually chasing)I've got some old friends from the Marine Corps that are from there and have since returned, and I am from the Bull Shoals area in the north central part of the state. oh yeah the ride looks good.

Actually, I have thought about a racing stripe. The paint currently on the car is showing it's age, but still shiny. I thought I might experiment a little, and paint a stripe on it and mabe even a big number. If I don't like the look... well, it needs to be repainted anyway. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Come on by...

Bull Shoals is a great area. I lived up in NW Arkansas for several years before returning to Russellville a little over 5 years ago. My wife and I used to go camping around Bull Shoals quite a bit. I still go trout fishing up in that area at least once a year.

I like hanging around Yellville. Good dirt track just east of there. Great racing. We sometimes rent a cabin just south of Yellville in the summer..great roads

JR I was born in Yellville, small world. I used to race gocarts on those dirt tracks growing up. and yeah the highway to get out of yellville has lots of good turns and elevation changes. in fact I have to drive that everytime I go home, cause I fly into little rock, and drive the rest of the way. I took the MG through there about halfway and back when I first got her, but I was pushing my lusch as I had no plates on the car. but when she is done I'm coming up through that way.
